About Me

Russ Boop

My name is Russell Boop Jr. In May of 2020, I graduated from Penn State Harrisburg with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Challenging enough is engineering in college, I graduated during the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, which made finding a job in a related field difficult for me. In July 2021, I landed a job as an AutoCAD Specialist for an environmental engineering company in Horsham PA. I always had an AutoCAD background growing up because my father taught it in middle school. He influenced me to take high school architecture classes which lead me to enjoy computer aided drawing. It was at this job when I realized how much I enjoyed 3-dimensional modeling.

After 1 year there, I got a new job in Chester NJ. This company is an engineering and architectural firm that works primarily with k-12 school districts in New Jersey. Since starting my job here, I have realized that I truly have a passion for architectural design. Using Revit, I began to love the process of creating a design and rendering it to make it look realistic. Having only limited time and practice to learn at work I thought I just had to have it for myself.

Now I can make whatever comes to mind, come to life. My goal is to create renderings. Since I work under a licensed architect I cannot, in any way, be taking from his business. In time, if a client would want to go through with one of my designs and have it built, he would need to be the architect of record and agree to sign off on drawings. Right now, this is a side-hustle for me because I love doing it.
